Good as a tool. But i think lots of great video directors would think of shooting various footage with different DOF to avoid this problem?

This seem to be a tool that says, "Let's shoot first and decide the DOF later". But it doesn't really gel with the work flow?

Workflow wise, I think it would be a lot easier to apply a simple dissolve between two static lytro image with different focus point rather than the current process of masking different elements in photoshop, filling in background, creating layers, exporting PS to AE, keyframe blur filter for each layer. export to Premiere.

There was an interesting post on m43rumors about a Panasonic patent for a Light Field sensor.
Looks like they're doing research in that area.
