Wondering where in Singapore can I buy Serie 7 filter.:dunno:

You can use E49 filter & just drop it in the filter holder in reverse, ie, screw thread facing outward Thanks to Jazzyboi who taught me this "trick".
I use a E49 UV/IR filter on the 12504 hood for my Lux35preAsphTitanium. I just remove the retaining ring & reverse the glass of the filter so that it faces the "right "way. I supposed this has no effect on image but read somewhere that the front facing surface of UV/IR filter is more scratch resistant.
Look around-I recently bought a Series7 UVa from Prime.

It will work with the 12504 hood. Unscrew the hood to separate into 2 parts-it is a retainer for series7 filter. I bought the series7 UVa from Prime to compare the fit to E49. They are very close.

The "series" filters are threadless drop-in filters. They are attached to lens via retaining ring or hood that serve as retaining ring.

No, Series 7 filters are without thread. Mike's method works great.

B+W still produces S-7 filters, but double the price of an MRC 49 filter.
