I did not say: "Take it easy OlyFlyer ...".
I said: "Take it easy folks ..." implying I'm not pointing to any one to be at fault.
No, you don't say that but since you quote me it is definitely imlying it is adressed to me.

Yup, my contributions here are extremely limited... i have no knowledge of anything at all... unlike 2 very smart person here, whom have a lot of experiences to share... i dun even know what is digital image stabilization...

Sure, I agree with you, but why directing that to me? I am just telling how it is seeing it from the outside. Or would you say there were any contributions in his posts to the discussed subjects other than pouring some sand in the machinery?

I agree, it is a small community and posts like mine and his/hers should not occure, but it only proofs we are human, even if we use a 4/3 camera.

"Where is OlyFlyer? (looks around)... "

On a serious note... while there are 2 moderators in here, I still think we have the best job around CS because this community is closely knitted and are all friends in here... and what does friends do when we get together? We sometimes agree to disagree and have "heated discussions" and then have a laugh about it... and sometimes "new friends" from the outside comes along and add more fuel to the discussions and that makes things a little more heated up... but we can see things like this : Either at the end of the discussion we gain a friend because the new friend started this controversial topic out of sincerity, or if the person is merely a trouble maker, I am sure the rest of the community will detect it and give him hell, and well, this person will eventually disappear (deregistered by moderators) for being a trouble maker.

In either way, the regulars in this little community are learning to live and exist with one another (OlyFlyer for showing us the straight and sometimes interesting interpretation of English), MikeFellh with his version of the way he sees things, Philshots with his diplomacy (I need some lessons on that)... drakon09 with his sometimes quick temper (like me), Blu with his very very interesting Malaysian English (less of that now)... uncle tomcat with his facts (and most likely straight face), nightpiper with the facts (I know you! I kknow you!)... and not to mention chancy with his very soft spoken and patient gentlemanly mannerisms, but hey guys, we are all a part of the community! We have to learn to live with one another... and sometimes we have to disagree, but that does not mean someone has suddenly turned to hate you... it is simply a difference in opinion and that is something we have to get used to, in order to exist in a community... so always remember that we should not take things too personally ok?

me with my Malaysian English?? Is it that bad? I am trying to drop the lah and ya and what else?? Please don't mind this 1/2 mad M'sian.

Back to Digital Image Stabilization.

What the E-330 does is that it bumps up the ISO to bring the speed up. I notice that the camera tends to choose the speed in relation to the lens attached. The speed for a 11-22 will not be the same as a 40-150 in the same lighting condition..

Another thing I notice is the NR is always ON when in the Digital Image Stabilization mode. For an experience and stable photographer, there is really no need to use this mode. All the settings can be done manually and the NR can be off for off camera noise reduction and shorter shot recycle time.

Still favor the E-330 over the E-500. If only they add the E-510's Optical IS sensor to the E-330, it would make the E-330 the ideal IDIOT proof camera.
