Oh Yes yes yes! It's interesting! I've ordered one already =)

QX

oh cool :D ...... where to order? How much is it?

Oly Looks nice, but I am not into 1:2 cropping factor ..... I would need all the wide angle Rokkor lenses .... a Superwide 17mm lens became a mild Wide Angle at 34mm ..... not my taste :(... as it, 1:1.5 cropping factor is not good for me already.

good point, and i agree with you. but it is still tempting though... alternatively, can be as what he mentioned - use the oly lenses for wide-angle shots, and rokkor for others :) or... bring along another film body :D

seems like the upcoming DMC-L1 from Panasonic might be another body option too.

Defeats the purpose .... Wide Angle are mostly the type which auto focusing is least required, since it reaches infinity earlier.

The Standard Range are the ones that is more tempting for me, but then with 1:2, the standard range of 28 - 100mm becomes 14-50mm ..... distortion will be bad ...... :(.... one of the reasons why I don't like Oly.....

Seen this one, those article is actually used and review by one of my friend who is based in Sydney.

He asked me to keep quite until Anthony release this information.

It is interesting that Minolta MD lens can still be used.

while i like the sounds and working of a manual film body, i do confess the thought of having nigh unlimited shots (relatively) and ISO-on-the-fly tempts me to find out more about this digital option.

the rokkor 24mm is one of my favourite lense, and i like landscapes, so the cropping is indeed an issue. but it is still nice to have such a digital option.

hmm, i am not too familiar with distortions due to the ratio which you mentioned. any links for me to read about this, or a brief explanation?
is it because, say using the 17mm will intro the normal distortions, and on the digital it will crop into a 34mm view, hence a 34mm with a 17mm distortion <- thats what you mean? (hope that make sense...)
