hi all, i lent my sb600 so someone and came back with scratches at the lcd display. its currently under warranty and will nikon replace the lcd for free? or i have to pay for it? if yes, do you know how much? thanks!

why did that someone u lent do such a thing to your precious.
This is user problem, dont think its covered under warranty. That reminds me to paste a protective sticker over the LCD. =) Buy one from Daiso, cheap and good for such purpose.

Regards,
tltan

its just scratch....

wait till the warranty is coming to an end then send in to the service centre and ask for a change and inspection lor...

just a scratch will not affect the flash performance anyway.

but your friend also rather irresposible to have scratched yur flash thou..

Scratches is not covered under warranty. Users fault.

ermmmmm..... it my dad in law.... what can i say... but nvm la performance not affected...

same like dust. things happen... move on and just use it. never mind. :)

What i did was i gotten some cheapo film stick, those that can be bought at any mobile phone or camera shop to protect screen type. First, use a hole pouncher to pounch a hole to cater to the "flash" button, then measure the same size as the LCD screen, cut out and paste over it. The scratches which was quite deep, is gone. You can try it!
