I just bought sandbags from cathay but they dont have sand.. they advise me to go to fish farms to look for it..

so just asking anybody here knows which farm exactly has sand for sandbags?

Bro, you no need sand for your sand bag. In fact you no need a sand bag.
All you need something heavy to hold your equipment down to prevent tripping.
Use whatever from the environment. Gather some rocks or bricks or sands or soil, put them into a plastic bag will do the trick.:)

Normally we use low grade rice to fill our bag. If you go oversea, you can bring the empty bag and buy rice (or other grains) there, use then donate or throw after use . Save on traveling weight and not so messy.

Get a heavy gf to tack along.

Do you need some help with an ET Stick ?

just go to the beach and collect some, rinse in tap water and let it dry.
you can buy marble, pebble or sand from any aquarium.

erm, to weigh done c-stands, a sandbag with sand is better and more sturdy than rocks...

hmm good idea on the rice though...

thanks for the link too!

yup sgcamerastore they sell sand alone

Nice on the rice. Bring your mess tin along and a portable gas stove. :bsmilie: Make sense if you are going outdoor into the nature reserve area huh ?
