RFSG members card

Hi all, I am now thinking about issuing an RFSG members card with your name printed on it.

I am also hoping to speak to vendors about card recognition as well so that we can get benefits and privileges. I need to start writing and negotiating with these various vendors. This will also legitimize our "club" a bit more and give everyone a sense of ownership.

printing plastic members cards should not be an expensive venture. I could make a whole lot of blanks and issue as and when, new members join...

I need to know your comments and I also need your help in forming a "membership committee".....

do let me know your thoughts..... :D

heheheh I'm sure if the the card warrants attractive discounts, it will attract a lot of members on this forum itself, not just rangefinder sub forum lol....

But are we talking about discounts on rangefinder equipments only or everything else?

I presume vendors just want you to open your wallets...so I guess its across the board...

Just wondering, would having just a Yashica Elec makes me eligible for the membership? Or do i need to have a RF with interchangeable lens? :bsmilie::bsmilie:

Hi Lex, membership is open to all who have an interest in RF and an interest in learning/promoting RF.....I believe some of our members have the same Yashica Electro...and I do believe its classified as a rangefinder...I see you as a full fledged member! :D

how about Olympus XA? :bsmilie:

hmmm.... would an agfa super silette be considered?

I think if you have a interest in RF photography, even without a camera you will be welcomed.

this sounds very nice! and i'm sure that if i were a legitimate member with my electro, it will make me want to "legitimize" myself further with more pretty toys! :D

would a 1963 Olympus Trip 35 be considered as a RF ??

Hi Just wondering if camera wshop can fine tune my Olympus 35 SP rangefinder cos its slightly out .

Had the pleasure of meeting a couple of RFSG regulars (Tan131, ZoomP, and posterboy??) a week ago and since then I've been hanging around RF sub-forum quite a bit.

I'm just starting out on 35mm and RF so I've got lots to learn from the shifus around. Hope to meet some of you soon =)
