RFSG at Clubsnap live @ SAM 2010

Hi RFSGers! Redshutter has a great idea for us to participate in this years Clubsnap Live@SAM 2010. I think this is not only exciting but terrific for us and for Rangefinders culture in particular! We need a plan, people, what shall we do....lets start brainstorming here.....

i've already forwarded redshutter's request to chngpe01 and the other mods in-charge of the event. we'll have to see if SAM can give us enuf space for an exhibition.

Exhibition is a definite.

I like the short stories idea, which can be tied in with the manifesto (murdered by leica)

The only problem I have with the line is that rangefinder is not just about leica (it is not even pioneered by them) although they have basically stamped their name on it... but if you change the name to Murdered by Rangefinder... instantly it loses its impact....zzz

Well Im very particular in nailing this copy, reason being it will be the backbone of the whole branding of this event for us, from this copy, with can branch out to many little ideas that eventually push the core idea up and making it stronger and more meaningful.

Like how Dan's suggested something about each of us inking our blood on it ( could be easily tie in with photographs/short stories...not real blood of course), or how Bene's idea on how each of us can create our own individual short stories...

by the way Dan,

Adidas has an award winning print campaign for New zealand's all blacks (bonded by blood), where the ink of their actual team poster contains blood from each of every all black team members..

Hi propose an exhibition call
RFSG Short stories:
Each member can submit a series of 3-5 pictures
that best express himself/herself.

Example will be "Dogs" ie elliot erwitt's favourite subject
"You know we heard this before"
"we wish you all the worst"

etc etc.

Hi all, things are getting very exciting in regards to this and redshutter has called for a la kopi session to discuss this event on saturday may 1st..... We need to start mapping out what we are going to do. Having touched on it a little at our last shootout, we have the bare bones of an idea now and would like to share it with as many RFSGers as possible.

Let's try to coordinate this gtg here. Cheers!!

Ya I think time is running short considering this show is during July. We need to draft out a plan to submit to CS moderators so that they will have a good idea on how to help us.

Its a public holiday this Sat right?
