Hi guys,

Just started using my bessa and I realised that my current camera bag I use for my DSLR is a bit too big for it. I was wondering how you guys organise your lenses in the bags?

Coz each "lens slot" is now way too big for the RF lenses. And while I can throw 2-3 lenses in the same slot, I don't think that's ideal. I also don't have proper cases for my lenses and they are all "naked". Is there somewhere I can buy a "lens bag" for them?

Thanks!
Erv.

Billingham is your good friend.

But these bags don't come cheap, be prepared for at least S$300.

Other alternatives might be the smaller Domke bags, or even Crumpler. Have fun searching a good home for your precioussssssssssss. :sweatsm:

Hm.. I have a small crumpler but even that is a problem because the slots are way too big for the lenses. The Domke ones can be segregated into smaller compartments?

Should be able to, but the compartment divider are sold separately.

okay i'll go cathay take a look...

oh, and is there such a thing as a lens pouch? like I mentioned, my lenses got shipped over naked, w/o any case or caps. :(

Yes, there's such a thing called lense pouch. :)

But for pouches to hold those RF lenses, it's much smaller in size than normal 35mm lenses, which sometimes can be hard to find or rather shops might not carry them.

time to do some hunting I suppose... thanks for the advice! :)

I use the Domke J-803. A camera bag that doesn't look like one. Small enough for RF gear and also good for a small SLR setup.

Get a few soft pouches, the neoprene type, to throw your extra lenses in and a few of those can fit into one of the Domke compartments. Easy!

Something like this though mine are without the drawstring.

i am using the domke f5xb with the bessa.
can easily fit in a hd and some personal effects for daily use.

wow.. so many choices.. okay better just bring my gear down to cathay and have a look around... :)

I decided to use one of my old camera bags as I might want to throw in some other cameras inside... but for the lens pouch, I just bought a nice padded ankle sock to throw the lens in.

Not ideal but it works and it's cheap! :)
