I have a 35mm 1.8 and I was thinking of buying a 50mm until I saw this sigma 17-55 2.8.

I am excited about the focal length.

Is the auto focus fast and is the motor noisy ?
How's the bokeh.

I hear that it is a pretty good and versatile lens. however, I think it is unlikely that it can come close to a 50mm prime, if you are after the bokeh.

bokeh is good.... very fast AF... and a quiet lens...
