Hi Admins,

it came to my attention that flickr has a rule where we are technically obliged to link back to the photo page if we embed flickr photos
they provied HTML codes is it possible for CS to accept HTML codes when posting to make things easier for flickr users?

pls see this thread for details

I believe that due to security issues, html codes will not be allowed on CS.

hi, as mentioned by other member, HTML codes are disabled for security reasons. In fact most forums will not enable HTML codes.

We are willing to explore other available options if possible.

From the provided HTML tags from flickr, just use the IMG and URL tags to do the same here in CS.

sigh i guess now we can only hope flickr will post phpforum codes.

its definitely possible to use url img tags.. its jus one more step..
thanks anyway

why can't u post flickr images? all my images are from flickr. just remove the ?v=0 tag behind the .jpg and you're good to go

Just open your Flickr photos and go to "All Sizes".

The direct link to your photo is somewhere in the middle. No fuss about it.

u nid to link back to the photo page of flickr by their guidelines..
and its an additional step..
any way this discussion is moot as admins have stated their stand..

Actually what can be done is similar to those smileys - use something like ::flickr=....:: and replace with HTML at the back end as the page is being generated.

i don't find it much trouble at all

lazy, lazy, lazy!

not much of an issue with me.

good point..

haiyo can't believe my laziness got so much issues!
hahah
its jus that flickr provides easy to copy and paste html codes.

if i use the direct link i risk getting acct suspended as the link wont go back to the photo page..
so i have to save the link of the photo page as well
or format the html code (which I cld write a perl script to do)

but that;s for me only.. others wont benefit..
although my aims weren't altruistic completely, but i believe that the request would help others as well.

laziness is the mother of all inventions!
