Hi, I seldom post on clubsnap but have been following this sub-forum for sometime le, even before I got my rangefinder. Found it to be very warm and friendly as compared to the rest of the forums where flame wars starts every now and then...

Anyway, I got my first Rangefinder, Konica Auto S2 three months ago. Have been very happy with it and was learning a lot from it. But recently, my shuttle will not trigger the aperture. I can still depress the shuttle button but the aperture aperture will remain shut. Hence, I cannot wind the film to the next frame as it will be stuck until a frame is taken. I think there is a prob with the shuttle button which fail to trigger the aperture.

I am asking you guys if you have any good shops or guru I can turn to, to repair my cam ?
Heard about camera workshop but are they good with rangefinders too or you guys have a special shop you all go to? Roughly what is the cost of repair and how long will they take ?

Anyway thanks for the wonderful chit chats and pictures in this forum :) Keep it up

*edit*
Because this sub-forum, everyone doesnt have that holier than thou attitude, everyone here is open to sharing & getting better pictures than their gears. This sub-forum, if you notice, is the only place where Canon, Konica, Nikon, Cosina, Leica, Zeiss, Yashica etc. users can come together & discuss things openly.. Try it with the other sub-forums, the wankers would prob shoot you down guns blazing, too blind in protecting their "so expensive" equipment brands. Pretty much all the discussions on the other side of the fence is which brand can give better quality pictures, very wtf imho.
Very typical Singaporean metality, bigger gear means I king, I take better pictures.

Hmmm... Am not sure of any speciality shop but I think the common places people go to would be De Consultant, P&G, Camera Hospital?

Never done any servicing with them before, so cant really comment. Only servicing I have done is with Cam X, CLA my Canon lens, not too sure about the workmanship at this point of time, just send it in on Tuesday. But that is lens, am not too sure about the whole body.

Had both my rangefinder camera CLA at Camera Hospital at sunshine plaza, one was only a basic CLA and the other was a repair of the battery compartment, lightmeter & foam replacement.

Not sure abt the cost of fixing your shutter, you might wanna get a quote from them before going ahead with the repair as the cost of the repair might be higher than the value of yr camera... so it not worth it...
