Rental query: canon 1D or nikon D2H

Hello, am looking to rent either of these two cameras (if D2H I'll have to rent a lens as well), anyone interested in loaning out?

Also, does anyone know if the frame rate can be specifically set? Say if you want to shoot specifically at 5fps and not at the maximum rate on burst for these two cameras?

You can set the max fps on the Canon EOS 1D thru the customised/personalised functions.

Good qn mylau, besides testing the availability of the cameras; and I should also add that the purpose of this thread was to find out the pricing and suitability of renting the cameras. I'm do not know the rates and would appreciate people's input for reasonable prices. I know the cameras are very expensive... but am also a student and am considering using the cameras for a project... I was hoping for $100 for the body for 3 days (won't be needing it at night) if the camera is suitable. The price is of course negotiable, and hopefully something can be worked out. As for the nature of the project, I do not feel comfortable discussing it over an internet forum, but would love to discuss it with people who are seriously considering loaning the camera (pm, email or phone call). Right now am just looking into the feasibility of doing the project, getting the camera is but one of a few other considerations - it might not even go through. Thanks!

thanks for the link burblock, but i need specifically need a DSLR with fast frame rate. I've already got canon lenses; for Nikon was looking at a 50mm or 85mm prime or a decent zoom around that range.

Okie, i do have a 1D and i don't use it every day. I'll be using the same deposit system as all my rentals though so that might prove to be a bit of a problem. U said 3 days? I'll prob be looking at close to 120 for 72hrs. Call me to discuss. As with all rentals, it is subject to availability so do book in advance.

May i know how much deposit do i have to pay to you if i want to rent the 1D and a 28-85 or 85mm lens? What is the daily rent fee then?

I've heard tt the 1D is a fast camera and produces very sharp images rite?
