Reliable and thrustworthy camera shop with credit card installment plan

Hi Guys/Gals ,

I am intending to upgrade my current D90 to a D700 model and buys a WA lenses.

Any recommendation on any reliable and good shop that provide 0% installation 6month/12month with major Credit Card with no admin cost overhead. Most shop in SLS are throat cutter .

Paying a huge lump of $$$$ with GST for this items would be a huge burden but i am comfortable in paying it across 6 month or 12 month using card .

If anyone got any lobang then it would be great help for this not so rich fella with an expensive hobby ..

I guess this would also help the rest of our comrade who have limited amount of money to spend .

I think it has been discussed here and there in CS, not sure if there has been a consolidated thread about this.

From what I know, Cathay Photo offers credit card instalments for DBS/ POSB cards, no UOB though.
MS Color should also have credit card instalments, but is not applicable for their online quotes and might be subject to additional 2% charge.
TK Foto too should have the additional 2 % charge from cash prices.

Most shops charge some interest rate or surcharge, the amount depending on the length of the installment. The only shops that I know to have 0% interest rate are the megastores... like Courts, harvey norman and stuff like that.

However from my own experience, even with the interest rate and surcharge thrown in, the price might still come out cheaper than getting the camera from the megastore. Of course you got to do your own calculation and homework first.

Check out Parisilk's 0% instalment plan with DBS Credit Card. But they do charge higher (3% to 5%) if you pay by credit card. Alternatively, you can always make payment using CC then opt to pay by instalments later (involves some processing fee).

Last time got at Harvey Norman funan at 0% instalment . Give me some discount also they have like 12 different bank credit card can use .

I think that's why there's no extra charge. Their e-quote prices are very competitive and often lower when you compare it to other shops but they only allow cash payments. The walk-in price is usually higher than what other shops offer.
