Clearly, this is getting nowhere with all these squabbles, if you're so sure of it, why not get your own lawyer and handle it. If you said that $400 is your hard earned money, I'm pretty sure you won't mind going the extra mile of paying thousands for a lawyer to demand back your $400.

con artists are usually very good with human psychology. they know that an average joe would rather not go through the hassle to make a lawsuit for these "small" amounts of money. the cost involved would not justify the small conned amount. I think the next best thing to do (less hassle, and free of charge) is to make a police report. I know the Singapore Police force has a department that handles internet and cyberspace cases. (oh by the way, I'm still amazed at the way the court handled the case of that teenager who "borrowed" his neighbour's wifi! :thumbsup: to the justice system)

Clearly, the admins cannot do much for you on this issue as they are not involved in anyway, so even if you continue to whine online here in the feedback section, it will get you nowhere.

and oh, should Contaxable went ahead with a police report, I suggest the admins of ClubSnap prepare ahead the backup tapes so the forum communications and chat logs could be used in the investigation, or court. This may include login and IP logs from parties involved.

This is a matter of principle. If he keeps yakking on his $400 and repayment, then he has a strong sense of principles and should go all out to get it back regardless of the actions s/he may have to take. Right? If not then he doesn't care about the $400.

If it's me, even if it's $10, I'll make sure I get a PI, lawyer everything, just to get back that $10 regardless of the hassle, monies involved. I did that for a $50 some buyer owed me for over a year when I sold my laptop 2 years ago which he claimed he didn't bring enough, so out of kindness I agreed to let him TT to me as it's only $50. Obviously he didn't...

Again - it's a matter of principle.

Are you against my suggestion to the victim to lodge a police report? Are you connected to the "con" party?
Why waste time with lawyers when a simple police report usually get things settled?
First, the police takes your report, then they go pay the "con man" a visit (and understand his business (hope it's legal), and usually next, they ask both parties to meet-up and gets it settled or they can escalate the case to court. It's quite simple (and cost-effective)

Anyway from past experience(s) too, unless I wanna to change address or report a Ah Gong Ah Ma's death, I'll not approach them, my opinion only. sorry for OT.

anyway, I still think there's misunderstanding between Bobman and Contaxable....hope there'll be a resolution for their issue soon. Best of luck guys. North Korea and US can sit down talk, I'm sure they can too!

I'm on the opinion that this thread has served its purpose and there's no value in prolonging it. Too many people who are not directly involved are also giving their own 2 cents which IMHO doesn't help the situation. Contaxable and Bobman, if you feel the need to reply publicly, pls contact me or any of the other mods that you're been talking to so far. Otherwise, pls take it offline and discuss it amicably. If you wish some mediating party to help sort the matter out, I'm sure the mods are willing to assist.
