Hi Guys, I am back! ;)
and am happy to say I managed to get a very mint yet very good price black Bessa R, althought I still prefer the chrome one(classic!).

I already have some russian lens, mainly a so-so Jupiter 3(50, f1.5), pretty good Jupiter 9(85, f2) & seldom-use :dunno: Jupiter 11(135, f4). My jupiter 12(35, f2.8) can't work with Bessa R.

I need to get one 35mm lens as I always use WA lens.

Please recommend me one affordable one. Thanks

The CV 35/2.5 Pancake II is a good affordable choice, about $500 new, less if used. Small, compact and very good ergonomics.

CAmera quest shows that pancake 2 is a m-mount lens, cannot fit my bessa r.

How am I supposed to know you own the R? You want information, list out all your needs la. You want a compact lens? Do you need speed? What sort of photography? Budget? Color? Rangefinder coupled? Scale focusing?

relax leh, its mention in my title for this thread.

Max, consider the 35 ultron. I've seen bargain deals on that jewel out there. Definitely comparable to the non-Asph crons.

Ultron 35 mm is very nice, I am using one with M6 and Bessa-T, via screw mount adapter. Bought Bessa-T from Cameraquest for US$185/-. Prompt and fast service. can use PayPal. I got mine with free shipping.

Jupiter 12... dirt cheap and sharp - just watch out for the flare.... :)

Thanks Szekiat,

Were you the one I am supposed to buy the Omni-bounce from? I am supposed to get a Omnibounce from someone, but I've forgottened and trashed his PM.

35 ultron is the Voigtlander one with f1.7 issit? Terence tried to sell his to me, but way off my budget.

Anyway, will look out for it.

Hi Conan,

Tried Jupiter 12 onmy Bessa R but can only focus until 2.5m and meter is blocked, so not safe lah. Anyway, did a roll with it, will see how it worked with Bessa R.

I think it's going to be a bit difficult finding a 35 ultron to fit your $300 (?) budget.

No, I dun think I can find one at $300, Terence, will definitely pay more for it.

Not close to price of new one, of course. ;)

Dr Yao says there an offer on Bessa R with 35 f2.5 Skopar C at good price(cannot tell-email him for quotation).

Anyone have any comment on 35 f2.5 Skopar C? It seems to be within my budget.

I just bought a 50mm f2.5 Color Skopar from him. He's friendly & definitely not a typical Cathay Photo salesman. He will advice you, base on your budget, type of photography and then you make your final decision.

My lens should be here by tomorrow. Let me know if you need to contact him.

Regards
Tachi..

Nice images you got, price is steep, last I was offered was $680 or something like that...
