Recommend flash for Dimage A1

Can someone recommend a flash suitable for the Minolta Dimage A1 ? Would be nice,if can provide link with reviews/photos of the it.

Minolta 5600HS will be best choice easily, followed by 3600HS if you want something lighter and cheaper, albeit less powerful and limited in swivel angle and no 17mm diffuser.

Metz 32MZ-3 and older 40MZ-2,40MZ-3 flash are good choice too, particularlly if you want to use the same flash for a few different camera brands.

5600HS is about twice the price
There is also a new 2500 flash is is supposedly cheaper than the first 2.

Not for the Dimage Series. Can't even get it to fire.

DiMAGE Series from 7i up to A1 are quite sensitive to the flash you use. I recommend you to buy the original. Really not worth to save a little now and lost much in the end.

What I meant is that even original 5400HS cannot fire on a Dimage series camera. Only Minolta 5600HS/3600HS can be used. On the other hand, Metz flash with the old SCA 3301 can still be fired in manual mode!!
