I need a dry cabinet, to hold a SLR and and a prosumer digicam, some lens....

Any recommendations? budget is tight so..... the cheaper the better. How many Litres is enough?

I"ll try and answer since I like Ursula K Guin (Left Hand of Darknes is one of my favourites)

Get a good quality cabinet like Toyo Living. If you can't afford, use plastic boxes and save up. And wait for the next Cathay Promotion.

The Toyo Living is so well sealed I'm leaving it turned off Mon-Fri since I only shoot on weekend and won't open the cabinet in between ;)

I recommend that you reuse one of your biscuit cans. You can fit the lens and body into a big can... eg., Jacob's biscuit

;)

I agree it's important to get a Good and reputable one rather than a cheap one.

It may not be worthwhile to get a cheap one if you discover the reading on the dial is wrong all the years and the way you found out was by looking at the fungus already growing on your lens.

Read several horror stories abt dry cabinets.

Can get a dry box now, throw in several silica gel and use as a temporary solution till you save up for a good one.

Actually if your dry box is large enough, can try putting in the "Thirsty Hippo" product into it.
It absorbs moisture too, just remember to change it when it's "full"

search around Carrefour Singapore, an electric dry cabinet costs less than S$100. A 30L or 40L is good enough for u.
