Hi all....

Here is a sample of a ratio flash shot i took of my daughter.....it gives a depth to the photo.....

The 3600HS(D) is on the right of the baby...about 2 meters away.....

Ratio set 2:1.......2 side + 1 ahead.....

bee.jpg

The flash is positioned so that it will not show on the hotal glass....window....

nice.

wat mode did u use? auto, P or manual ?

thanks.

Okay...NIne....

The shot was taken at aperture priority. I chose an aperture juz nice to to get the twin tower at the background to sharp and also the window pane.

It took the photo at f11 on with the 24-85mm lens at 80mm. Spot metered on my girls inner cheeks.

Wireless Flash is angled on the right of image and tested to ensure no flash blown out on window.....

Sulhan

Actually the Dynax 7 supports STM mode........ since u wanted the Twin Towers to have a sharp outline why didn't u try STM?? Especially u are shooting at 80mm..... as I understand it 135mm allows STM naturally....... or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Hi TME...

Well...i mean that i want to make the tower and the window not too sharp....

Anyway....the STM mode is astually to blur the background not to sharprn the background.

What it does is take 6 7 shots at different aperture sizes(wide) to get a blut background.

Yeah but it actually preserves the outline of the background so that they appear soft and out of focus..... basically what u have been trying to do right? U could take a look at the Dynax 7 handbook, there is an example there......
