Hi,

I shoot with a D3 housed in a sea&sea housing with 2X ikelite strobe. sometimes a 3rd for backlighting. if you look around the forums here there are a couple of people that give very good advice. it really depends on what you want to shoot. for Macro, its normally a 105 with magnifiers as I loose the 1,5 factor. For WA, its 14-24 or 17-35. Adjustments with strobes is manual :-) i do have a day job so my work is not that sophisticated.

Hope this is helpful

Trev, you know I always love your UW shots...
Welcome me to Clubsnap! Should have known that you and Eric hang out here frequently! :)

black background can be done post processing by dodging and burning. but most u/w photogs achieve it by a combination of camera settings (high f-stop and shutter speed) plus lighting only the subject with strobes and not the background.

or sometimes it's just a night dive and black backgrounds are easier to get. :bsmilie:
