It works fine with my Manfrotto 701. I used it for my sliders, monopod and stabilizers.

Apparently, since March 13, 2014, the US store has declared bankrupt according to PetaPixel. That's where I bought them.

definably a good idea, I have geared tripod head, panorama head, video tripod head, ball heads, so this thing come in handy.
but seem no one else making this, and a little pricey, will do more research on the reviews first.

btw, since I attach Acra Swiss plate to my all cameras permanently, it will be good I don't have to change plate when I use video tripod head.
so I bought a custom 577 plate with Acra Swiss clamp from here.
