Hey guys. im thinking of getting into filmmaking. but i wanna have a specific effect to my short film. id like to have a really old vintage look to it. sort of grungy and an old feel. can someone recommend me a video cam? im looking for something cheap and old school/vintage. please let me know

Try the 16mm Bolex LOL. As far as I know of it, that camera is ancient. You literally have to wind it for our power as there is no batteries.

Film stock wise, i'm not too sure of which can achieve the desired effect of 'vintage'.

My HV20 with Letus35 mini and AI Nikon Lenses. Very much like 16mm.

Alternatively, you could get involved with substation or sinema and attend one of their workshops before 'throwing yourself into the well hoping for fish'.
