Question regarding Vegas

Hi, I'm a noob in video editing.
Downloaded the Sony Vegas Movie Studio trial version 9, learning and testing it out editing my family videos. May eventually buy it after the trial period.

My question is , beside just a 30-days trial, are there any other limitation in the trial version?
Reason I am asking is because I find that the text that I added to the video does not look sharp.

My other question is can I find Vegas off the shelve? Or I can only buy online?

Not too sure on this but i believe the Trial verson has optional plugins installed.

Is the text ok if you render to an output file? It might be just the preview mode that is a bit blur. Just a thought, cos vegas text should be sharp enough.

OK then, but you didn't actually mention that.

Are you using the default text style? In Vegas it is white text, no outline, and doesn't stand out very well from the background. Adding a darker outline and maybe a bit of drop shadow can make it look much clearer.

But if you literally mean that the text is not sharp, then it must be something else. For example, if you create the text small and then zoom in on it, it will not be as sharp as creating it large in the first place. How about you post a veg file with a text sample and let me take a look?

Drop by at Challenger Funan today. The sales guy said Vegas no stock. :-(
Then passed by PK computer so decided to go in and take a look. They selling Vegas also but at $190!
If I buy online only cost me about USD$80 plus IIRC...
Guess I better off buy online?
