We're using + talking about Lithium Ion batteries now. No acids are used. There's shouldn't be anything inside that can corrode away any metal. As long as non reactive metal is used for the connection plates..
*ponder* if i'm not wrong, most dry cell batteries don't have acids. At most alkaline.

Thanks for your clear expanation. But the ampere hours for diff batteries can be summed up? I've totally returned all to my lecturers liao. :bsmilie:

If you're thin skinned and can't take a little ribbing, don't post in the first place. You gotta take what comes. If you wanna post "I think" comments, be prepared for people to tell you that your "thinking's" wrong. You speculated that 2 batteries can't be used together cos the voltage will be 14+ volts, so they have to be used one at a time. But a parallel circuit will enable you to use them both simultaneously without exceeding the rec. voltage. So what does this say about yr "knowledge on electronics"? You don't need a manual to tell you that. In fact its not even written in it. Basic physics.

That's when u're wrong. These batteries do corrode if left unused in a unit for a long time or misused. They leak and the 'internal liquid' corrodes the contacts.

I don't mind people comment about me but not when that person who commented, totally misuderstand my meanings and trying to brag about his theories. In the first place, i did not say anything about series or parallel connection of the batteries, why make things so complicated? All i want to know is, can the batteries be mixed by different brands? I never ask anything more. Even if i want to know more on electronics, do you think i'll post it here and let you "guide" me? As for the battery grip manual and all those basic physics stuffs... well, i don't even see the need to reply or comment to you. It will come to no end since you don't even get my idea in the first place.
