what is the horizontal and vertical dimensions of the 17inch and 20inch imac LCD?

Funny that you never think about looking at manufacturer's site??

http://www.apple.com/imac/specs.html

These are the native resolution of the LCD:

15-inch iMac is 1024x768

17-inch iMac is 1440x900

20-inch iMac is 1680x1050

"The iMac with the 15-inch flat-panel active-matrix LCD screen delivers nearly the same viewable area as most of those bulky 17-inch CRT displays"
- Apple webbie

mac measurements are very different. and the 15 inch has a wide aspect like the powerbooks. so is the 17 , 20.

The 15" does not have a wide ratio... but the standard 4:3 ratio, 17" & 20" does have 16:10 wide ratio.

15" PowerBook has a 3:2 ratio.
