depends on the power of the flash, if set to ttl then normal solutions would be fine. If always at max strength, be surprised how effective cloth from handkerchiefs and tissue paper is.

lets say a SB800? :dunno:

i know tracing paper also works. just dat it's kinda troublesome to always have to cut a piece of tracing paper to size everytime i want to use it.

i have an old umbrella lying ard... just dat i'm trying not to strip it for the cloth... :p

SB800 is just about as powerful as the SB900 imo.

if you are traditional chinese maybe bad luck but now should be bound to have people throwing away old umbrellas. use them?

when i said umbrella, i meant those studio umbrellas....

anyway, i think i will just strip my existing umbrella of the cloth and get a newer umbrella. my old one is starting to turn yellowish anyway...
