Hi guys,

just to check the ferry ticket still at $2 per trip? any coffee shop still there? about 8 years never go there already, perhaps longer....

thanks An drew, that site i saw one hour ago while google..... a pity cannot find info on food..... but will personally go and take a look....

My last trip there (1-2 years ago) the popular coffee shop is still there. Changi Village would have plenty of choice.

There are a few zi char restaurant there when I went late last year, so quite a bit of choice. They should still be around.

Yup, there are still at least 5 seafood restaurants and mama stores, dont have to worry about food :)
Or just dabao food from Changi Village before going in.

Thanks a lot..... 5 seafood restaurants.... lol..... think still a good place to go after all..... hope the place will never change....

i intend to bring group outings there, so gotta ensure food is available.... good to eat or not i cannot help hehe.....

ride bicycle, see see look look, take pictures.... life is simple.

Be careful when you ride bicycle, one of the slope is quite dangerous.

Cycling in Singapore: "Danger spots for cyclists on Pulau Ubin" - another leisure cyclist dies

drink plenty....pretty humid/hot there.

Whole boat to move = $30, capacity = 12, so $2.50/pax at max capacity. :)

The seafood tze char and coffeeshops are still there recently.

In the last 5 years, they have changed Chek Jawa into a boardwalk. Old news, but you haven't been there for 8 years so you might wish to check that out. It's a distance from the bumboat jetty so you can walk, cycle or take their "taxi". Never used the last option though, dunno the price. Info on Chek Jawa boardwalk should be easily available, e.g. opening times, etc.

I just went last month. The coffee shops and seafood tze char still there.

And yes, do be careful when cycling. I opted to walk and in the span of 1 day, I saw 2 cyclists lost control of their bicycle going downslope and crashed. One lady was lucky enough to escape unhurt, the other one had a fractured arm. Emergency vehicle had to be dispatched to transport her out.

Chew Jawa is prolly around 3km walk.

I'd say, grab a macro lens and walk down, taking pics along the way :)

Now there got one atas resort with private jetty wor.

Kana chased away while pulling our "sampan" alongside.

Thanks all bro and sis for helping!!

appreciated!!

last one, anyone rented bicycles there? whats the damage? whole day $10??

i need to do up the rough guide on this.... think i will consolidate and post a thread on this after the trip.... easier for all who wanna go there.... lack of info in the web...
