PS CS - Crop Question

Hi

I'm a PS CS newbie. How do i crop an image while maintaining the aspect ratio of 2:3?

there are normally 3 options when you select area ("rectangular marquee tool" - the dotted square icon on the top-left)

normal (no restrictions)
fixed aspect ratio (e.g. 2 x 3)
fixed size (e.g. 400pixel x 600pixels)

(options normally viewed at the top tool bar)

once highlighted - image -> crop!!! :thumbsup:

when cropping do take note of the units. one i wanted to print 8x12 prints and cropped the pictures setting it at 8x12. them picture came out less sharp. then i eralise its the unit. it was default at cm for my case and i thought was inch. then take original resize again to 8x12 ans this time change to inches then ok liao

I would use the Crop tool. easiest!

Take note to remove the numbers in "dpi" if you don't want PS CS to resize the photo for you...
