With all the goodies given out during election, these increase are in the drawing board right after election.

I voted against them.... see my district. ..... 4 times voted....

I blame those 60%.......

Took away radio and tv license previously and now raise property tax....so back to the square one....every month these will be the fix cost whether u like it or not....how to retire?

Haha they exempted us from driving license renewal fees now raise property tax

ridiculous. the HDB dwellers are staying on the same plot of land as hundreds of others.

how much are landed property owners being taxed? we who are staying in HDB flats should not have to pay more than/equal to landed property owners as we're sharing the same vertical area as others.

I stay in a landed property and I have never nor have any intention of renting any part of my house. Still my property tax is going up just because IRAS claims property nearby fletch higher rental!

Did they know that some houses rent out their house to multi tenants? Some may have legal dealings or even convert for other commercial uses. Why should me, an ordinary citizen have to keep paying more for what others are doing? Can't they just tax those that rent out their house and if they caught any not de-clearing, fine time 2 times what they are suppose to pay.
