Problems with focusing

Hi all. Asking for some help here. I'm a new rangefinder user. Recently I bought a fed 3 soviet camera. I just bought a leica ltm elmarit 90 mm f/2.8 but it can seem to focus on my body. Any help?

Erm... Soviet cameras were known to have varying tolerances, and the flange distance differed from the Leica one to an extent.

That's why its a copy, not the original. If not the price would be the same

But what is the problem exactly? What you meant by cant focus?

Maybe a CLA will help.

send the camera to camera hospital to check ... steven is an honest guy. he won't ask you to spend money to fix unless necessary.

In short, dont use a Leica lens on an FSU body, especially a telephoto lens.
