problem with my km 18-70

i got a small marking on the front element of the lens but i cant wipe it off with my lens cloth. havent tried with lens solution yet but anyone got any idea wat to do?

this was a hastily taken photo btw...the mark only visible under certain angles...
is it fungus? :cry:
 

Is it a dust inside the front element???:) :) :) :) :)

Hi There..

Its not frungus. It looks like a deposition stain from a liquid droplet, or just a coating "gash" due to some accidental surface "hard swipe". It should not effect the image. But may effect the owner tremondously....

anyway, u got 2 18-70 now... the sony 1 keep lor... u get wat i mean... :bsmilie:

adding a clear UV filter will prevent these type of problems.

the filter was on :sweat:

i guess it happened on the first day of SFF when i took out the filter...damn!

uh... why? i've taken fireworks with my 18-70 with UV filter on, didn't do any harm to the pics. but Hart's right, it won't do any harm, and unless its on the inside element, you shouldn't have to worry about these little smudges. have you tried cleaning it yet?

since everybody say no harm... and i agree too... since its beyond your minimum focusing distance... and such small spot... maybe only add as a nice little bokeh...
