Problem with Canon Handycam

Hi,

I have a problem with my Canon Mini Dv tape handycam. When I playback, I see horizontal lines on the screen. No issue when I record. What could be the problem? Do I nned to clean the tape head? Pls help.

Yes it sounds like the head is dirty. Mustafa are selling Panasonic cleaning tapes for $5, it's a very good price.
