After getting my A70, i am very eager to print out the pictures i taken.
i am thinking of getting a colour printer for tat task. but is unsure of which printer is good..
any reccomendation..

also i will wish to know how much 4r pictures can each ink bottle prints?
how much is per bottle?
how much is the gloss paper?
etc...hope u brothers can address my problems.

for 4R, printing from a lab is much cheaper at 30 cents to 40 cents each. Printing with a photo printer at home will cost you at least 80 cents each for the ink and paper, not counting the cost of the printer itself.......

Can try the Canon i950, can print up to A4. Alternatively u can try looking for answers at www.dpreview.com forums.

If you do adjust your colour using editing tools like photoshop etc, it is good to have ur own printer, but not always neccessary. Printing at home may benefit more as you go higher in the size, like a 13" x 19" or even a 13" panorama. It seems that it costs lesser than when printing outside for large sizes mentioned above.

For those who mainly want to do direct printout without much adjustment, going to photolabs may be better in the long run, cheaper too.

Agree with the ITGuy. The Canon i950 is one of the very best photo printers I've ever seen. The individual ink tank system (Think Tank) will let you change the ink colour that run dry, so you don't waste money throwing away all the colours just because one colour is out. The design of that printer is very nice too... :bsmilie:

If you got the budget, you can get the new i905D from Canon. I think they just launched it... sounds like the same quality as i950 (4800dpi, 2 picolitre, six inks)... BUT even better! Can print direct from your Canon A70, print directly on CD-R discs, print direct from any memory card, has LCD screen built in. Wah... why don't they have all these for my dear Canon A3 printers? Sob... sob...
