if they offer everyone "best" price, trust me the "best" price will be higher than it is right now. it's just pure pricing strategy.

go Harvey Norman or other fixed price retailers.. almost guaranteed you get the price stated on the big price tags.

Anyone tried it ? Worthwhile ?

You can get extended warranty at Harvey Norman also what, that's what I got for my NR70V cos I don't intend to change for the next 5 years...

yah, i got my digicam from havery for that purpose. Was told thta it's extremely expensive to get digicam repair. so why not!

what does extended warranty covers? everything?

Supposedly it does cover everything that the normal warranty does. In my case even if the battery conks out and they need to replace it (which is very expensive as it is a Sony)

on top of that, should it cant be repair, they will replace a set of any choosen model or brand of the same value.

Yes. That was the main carrot that prompted me to get the extended warranty. This way at least I think I can have something that works for 5 years!
