sounds like a good price. There is no freebies anyway.. I think only those that purchased at $2999 have the 'freebies'.

The normal price range from the regular cam shops is around in the $2600++ to $2700++ w/GST.

Most bigger shops can give you a Tax Free form, bring your passport with you. Cathay Photo at Peninsula, or other big shops.

The tax (GST) is 7% but you won't get the full 7% back, there is some admin costs involved. You need to show the item to the custom officer at the airport ( Terminal 2 has its own counter around the Burger King/MRT entrance at the Departure level. Then you need to go to the GST refund counter which is after the immigration, turn left.......

Do take note, if you are not local, Digital cams are not covered under international warranty.
