Price dropped for Canon 5D Mk II in Malaysia

The price of Canon 5D Mk II in Malaysia has dropped last week (from RM 7.3 to around RM 6.7k body only)...has it similarly dropped in Singapore? Rumours are Canon is either preparing for a new model/update or anticipating release of D700 successor.

Anyway, probably in response to Nikon. 5D3 should be still quite a while away.

The price I got last weekend from the basement photo-shop in JB Angsana was RM7200 for body only without CF card.

good price in penang... i was at JB (tebrau city) last week and asked Mee Too for the price.. they quoted RM8000+ for the body and RM11,200 for the kit... not sure if price dropped in JB.

however, the RM has also strengthened against SGD lately.. hovering around 2.32 thereabouts vs 2.4+ a month or 2 back.

In Singapore you can get them for $2920 before tax..
So $6700 being after taxes? Would be a good deal.
