Possible to delete classifieds thread?

Yeah. I still get people sms'ing for old sale stuff even tho I've put sold and closed the thread.

I feel it's better to keep these old threads. This way can see a buyer/seller's history n track record. I get the occasional enquiries about old WTS threads too but it's no sweat.

It is ClubSnap's policy that no BnS threads be deleted or modified.

This is for the sake of transparency.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

I've raised this issue because of privacy and personal data issues since my number is published in the search engine that is linked to the Clubsnap URL. I'm just trying to find out if I can withdraw my personal data from Clubsnap - particularly this post and since then, i've provided my contact no. in text format.

threads in personal classified section are non editable, this is to protect the integrity of the content.

We recommend using Private Message as primary and only mode of contact, so at least Thread Starters know being contacted by members of ClubSNAP, from there you only reveal your mobile contact to potential buyers/sellers.

and it is also a basic courtesy to make a proper closure of the WTS/WTB threads, eg, posting update status like item sold, offer taken, offer withdrawed etc before locking the threads.
