Hi there,

Anyone knows or have information about this?

I think a brand called NPC makes them. But am hoping to purchase off the shelves anywhere locally.

Thanks.

The NPC polaroid back for the Mamiya 7 is something of a rarity and priced accordingly. I've seen them go up to US$500+ for a used one and they hardly ever show up for sale. I doubt you'll find one for sale here in Singapore. Hong Kong or the US might be a better place to look.

There's one for sale here.

Good luck! Not worth your hard earned money, IMO.

Thanks Terence.

Interesting... and expensive.

Mamiya 7ii is not a interchangeable film back camera, do you have two 7ii bodies? one for shooting with film, one for shooting with Polaroid only?

Being of the newer Pro Back design, this particular back uses a fibre optic lens on the back itself to project the image onto the polaroid film plane. This results in a much higher quality image compared some of the older NPC backs. And more importantly, this back is able to provide full frame polaroids in the format of the camera, unlike many other backs which only offer a cropped image which is often too small to be useful. It's a niche market and obviously the prices reflect that as well. The new back costs US$900 and I'm sure the limited manufacturing runs add to the high cost of the item.

No it is not. But I only want to try shooting with Polaroid film, for a kiddy birthday party. Just to thrill them kids and let them keep their exposures. :D

If not, I'll buy a 2nd hand SX-70 which is probably the cheapest way to go with bigger image size.
