u see the pic of the bottom, there's about maybe 3cm more that can push to the left. if still cannot maybe mounting the bracket straight across rather than diagonal might make more space.

3cm... maybe can maybe cannot... i need to measure, cos mine is very long...:bsmilie:

hahahaaha alright maybe one day u can try and see if it fits

i'll field-test it soon, maybe with this set-up you dont need such a huge diffuser to get gd results!

don't want to create another thread for this.. my macro flash bracket that i haven't field-tested yet. would have taken with a pentax camera but i only have one..

top view. position and angle of flash can be adjusted

rear view. it's a freaking heavy set-up, i'm not sure if i can hand-hold it..

screw thread on the bottom. i guess i can fit another bracket with that hole so i have one flash on the right but it may be too much stress on the tripod mount.

Darren,

I want one. Where to buy the bracket. Bernard want one too. Pay u cost and transport and buy you lunch in funan :bsmilie:

otc

Interesting setup Darren. Never knew you could mount a Nikon flash directly onto the hotshoe and make it communicate. (I'm clueless about flash setups)

Perhaps I'll dig out my old bracket and try this out. Need a sync cable though...

Think you just tape up all contacts except for the middle one and use as manual flash?
Can be done with all brands...

I was thinking of getting a custom bracket to have the flashes on the left and right instead of on the hotshoe. But I think Darren, your example has convinced me that that solution is probably too bulky for my liking. I'll continue saving up for a ring flash, slowly....

Do show some results soon all the same, I want to see! :)
