Photography lover provide FOC services

I'm 25 yrs old and have been in love with photography since young, but only now manage to purchase an DSLR camera as previously has been renting around from shop to shop.

I am looking for people to shoots, I provide free of charge services, provided the person is an easy going person and we both learn through experiences and mistakes. It can include wedding services as well.

Photographers out there, I'm sorry to send this email with such a service, but am not trying to spoilt market, instead trying to get more exposures and to learn more new stuffs. As I'm not in need of money, so trying to help out all the CS personnels whom in need. Especially wedding, the cost is so high, trying to help people out only. But not as professional as you guys. My apologies in advance.

People are more likely to take advantage of you. If you don't intend to be paid in monetary terms you may consider barter trade. Clients can offer you something of equal value which you may then keep or sell off. I don't think you really understand the market though.

on a side note,

you don't need the money but other photographers do,
many photographers are shooting for living, and need to provide food for their family.
tho you going after those people who are not willing to pay a dime for photography,
but overall will only makes the photography industry look dirt cheap,
many people will start thinking: "when everyone can get it (a photographer) for free why would I should pay for it (a photographer)?"

and also,

shooting weddings is not a child's play, you can't replay if things does not turn out as what you expected.
are you willing to bear all the consequences if things fail?

That is the reason why need a professional and they are charging a few thousands for that.
couples may not so wise and only thinking of cost saving but I hope people like you should be smarter then these couples.
Remember, when things go wrong you will be the scapegoat, nobody else.
anyway, we have seem far too many of such cases.

I'm only doing foc for people whom doesn't have strong financial background and difficulties. Those people also people, they also need to get married. Just wanted to do a good deed, that's all. Anyway will take your strong advise into consideration.

wedding photography is not a necessity, but is a luxury item to all wedding couples, if they really have financial issue, they will cut away everything, not just photography, so they will not come here to look for help.

if you really really want to help these people, you should talk to social workers, they will help you find the right people do need your help.

Seriously don't spoilt the market. It's already spoilt enough. You think its easy to get clients these days. Photography is not some service that you can give for free. If you wanna do that. Why don't you do it to your friends or family. Not here. It's you people made the market all spoilt and we photographers are ones suffering.

Hi bro catchlights, no don't get it wrong. I'm not those kinda of photographer, just love photography. And I have did quite a numbers of photography events for charity purposes. And couples of friends wedding as well (most of the time will be 2nd photographers, only once a main photographer). I fully understand I'm inexperience like you are. But I do appreciate everyone efforts as a photographer. But can't understand why I can't do free services? I did not charge anyone a single cents and I even do editing for people. Sorry I'm new to club snap, I don't know the rules and regulations, perhaps need your guidances. You teach me what to do then. Everyone learn from their mistakes. Eg; an soccer player also start from small and mistakes to improve. That's all.

there is no rule says members can't offer FREE photography services here,
but I believe everyone deserve a fair chance, there are many members just starting out a venture here, they need more help than you since you say you don't need the money.

there are many ways to get what you want, please read post #3 by bro foxtwo.

if you want to it as a business, please learn how to do business first,

photography business is business come first photography second,

in any business, making profit is their primary goal.

if you want to do as charity, than please go and find those people who really deserve your help.

TS, because your actions are blatantly anti-competitive and in principle capable of denying someone else of his business. this forum is also a business platform for many, please be considerate, and sensitive to the local context in this forum.

Nobody is stopping you from doing free services, by all means shoot for your friends/contacts/charity free. but advertising for free in a commercial sub-forum is a whole new level of..nutty behaviour.
