Asia Images Group/motionpictures.asia has had a successful internship program for many years working with Ngee Ann Poly, Tisch, La Salle, and several other schools. Our current intern is soon leaving us to go back to school and we are looking for 1-2 people that might be interested in this position.
We are looking for people who have strong interest and good attitude more than a lot of experience. You need to have interest in all aspects of both photography and video. You need to be tech savvy and know Macs well. You need to be able to learn very, very fast (a lot of the learning is taking a problem and just figuring out the best solution to it, not being taught it slowly...). But most important of all is a good attitude, willing to work very hard, willing to work long hours, and having the desire to do this as a full time job at some point in your life. We are not looking for hobby folks who just want to do this for fun. We are looking to invest our time to help young photographers to make a career in this field. You will learn many aspects of the craft including lighting, post processing, video editing, shooting, and - most important of all - running this as a business.
You need to be a PR or Singaporean.
If you are over qualified for this position (something that I'll know when I look at your resume), we are also looking to hire a new full time assistant. When emailing us, please put in the header of your email which position you are applying for. We can either work with your school to provide an official internship through them, or do an informal one directly with you. In the past, this position has lasted 3-12 months and has been either followed by the intern going back to school or getting hired as an assistant. This is a full time position, with flexible hours (meaning you have to be flexible, not us), odd hours (that's life, sometimes photo shoots happen at midnight) and no overtime. Internship pay is standard islandwide at S$650/month plus CPF. You must be 18 years old or above.
