Photo Studio for Taking Family/Graduation Protrait

Hi everyone,

I am graduating this year from ntu and would like to know which photo studio is the best to take individual/family portrait?

I know there are a few popular photo studios ard in sg like:
1) Serangoon Broadway
2) Raffles Studio
3) EO Digital Photographics
4) Gloria Photostudio

broadway is highly recommended by my friends... they have almost all graduation gowns u need.

But I have heard that the price are quite ex and their attitude is not very good. What about Gloria? I have heard abt pple telling me abt it, but are their quality and service that good?

I just went to broadway to get the gown, im not sure of their attitude as the person just serve me as if i know her. I pay for $100 deposite and got the the gown for free and tat is taking up the package. I do not know the mark et price for graduation photoshoots but renting the gown itself i think is 49 dollars over at broadway, $24 or $25 for deposite and is refundable if im not wrong. I was thinking, if i took an individual 8R shot which cost $110 over there and so it cost me like $85 dollars then for my individual 8R photo shot so why not as long as their quality is there, $85 to me is reasonable. Once in a life time, i choose quality.

Quality? Everyone is using digital while they use film.

i will recommend werkz studio. they have competitive rates and a decent gown collection. http://www.werkzgallery.com/profile.html btw, they are a subsidiary of raffles studio.

I've been sourcing and calling up many studios and the prices they quote are always really quite expensive $600++ and i've been reading forum reviews of some of their bad services. So in the end, I chanced upon a family studio photography deal at dealshop.com.sg and I decided to purchase it. It was a really cheap and good deal! for a 20" x 24" photo, and for 2 8Rs and 3 4Rs, it cost only $288!! and they even give digital photos. The photos on the website on dealshop looks quite good and I decided to give it a try since the photographer seems to have some accreditation too. But cos its from a deal website, the deal would only be on dealshop for only a week. I really hope that my family photos would turn out nice!

Review on Serangoon Broadway:

The customer service at Serangoon Broadway is really bad. The sales person were more into hardselling their packages instead of explaining the packages in detail when you go over to collect the robes.

Upon reviewing the photographs to blow up, I realise one of the photos had a long scratch on it. I requested for another print out for that photo and the customer service person said that it was a sample given by their studio out of goodwill and they do not provide extra copies to the customers. The after service of Serangoon Broadway was indeed very bad because the scratch was done by the studio and the photos was bundled together in the package. The customers have absoutely no say in the final results of the photos because the full amount is made to the studio before choosing the photos.

hmm.. try Seletar broadway?? i had mine taken 5 yrs ago... no regrets..

another option is to take it in JB... but gotta bring your own gown

We went to Serangoon Broadway for family portrait once. It was expensive and the frames and prints took more than 3 months to arrive. And we didn't order a lot, just 4 framed prints and a 5R prints.

As a suggestion, since you all are in Clubsnap, why not try some of the good service providers here, like Catchlights. Who is an excellent studio and portrait photographer.
