Photo of the Year to be selected from Photo of the Week winners
About a year ago, Minolta Corporation launched the Photo of the Week contest as a new feature on its website. Throughout the year, monthly winners were chosen from the more than 700 photos submitted to the contest. (Check out the Gallery section to see all of the past winners.)
Now as the first year draws to a close, the Photo of the Year distinction will be awarded to the best of the best. There will be one Grand Prize winner, one Runner-Up, and three Honorable Mentions chosen by a panel of photographic experts, including Outdoor Photographer/PCPhoto editor Rob Sheppard.
Winners will be picked from eligible weekly winners from the beginning of the contest through the end of November 2002. Photo of the Year winners will receive a $1,000, $500, or $200 credit (amount depending on prize level) toward Minolta photographic equipment, which may be selected at their favorite local Minolta dealer.
Winners will be announced on the Minolta website starting in mid-December. Good luck to all of the weekly winners!
