Thanks for the first hand review. I knew it'd be a great performer. Can't wait to get one myself ;p

Cheers!

So will you be getting the 2 DA* lenses? I am getting ;p to get both.

Will go check out the lenses but I will not buy... yet.
I will probably skip the DA*16-50 as I'm quite happy with my current DA16-45mm and because I don't think I can personally justify paying loads more for the benefit of 1 stop more and roughly the same length. The DA* 50-135mm is more interesting as it covers the focal lengths that I tend to shoot but already got some stuff in my dry cabinet covering the range. So LBA isn't so strong. :bsmilie: Maybe it might change after I get to see them up close. :sweatsm:

Ok, here are some f2.8 photos.

looks really good!

It is really a very good lens. I have nothing to pick on and it gives me more reasons to get out of the house. (I like to stay at home most of the times). Believe me, it wouldn't disppoint you.

My wife even commented that the black is black and the blue is really blue. Although I did know what she meant but I trusted her because she used to work in color lab operating color printing machine and printing photos.

Your wife speaked just like my teacher "Your black must be black, your white must be white...but, Your black is not black, your white is not white!" :bsmilie:

Taken some photos with the new lens tonight. Only managed to take some as battery flat. Here are 2 of the photos.

Hi kcsum, what program do you uses to lower the noise of ISO800?
Your photos looks clean and sharp!:D
Or I have a defective camera!?

The 'durian' photo very interesting.....
The edge of the building looked deceptively like handshake blur.
But closer look at the other parts shows that it's actually clear and sharp... :D

Only resized. No PP at all.

Noise depends a lot on the scene, how much light there is. I have shot using ISO 1600 in the day with NO noise at all. A general assumption is that the lower the light, the higher the noise.
