Pentax K100D and Night Scenes

Hi Skypacker,
Your shots look better than mine! But I would suggest you set your WB to "tungsten" for that more natural colour effect...that's what I did.

Reg WB, I have the RAW files, so I am going to try the different settings. I started off with a slightly warm color because I like the slight 'yellowish' light look for night photos

Maybe we can make this thread an 'official' Pentax night photos thread? What say?

sorry! It was go-nogo till last minute and I thought its too rushed for you to seek "clearance".
But next time will call you...but don't know when. I was taking advantage of a slot in my kids' time table lah...heh heh but if you had been there, maybe you would have given me some tips so the night would have been more productive.....

no lah...cyrn is my former colleague...he's with the dark side all along...;p His cameras model numbers are typically going single digit numbers....not 2 digits or 3 digits like K10D or K100D.

In anycase, I saw a few others from the dark side that night also. I think they were using either a 350D or 400D judging from the size...

Would have loved the company that night but there was no interest in my post that day leh..and it was quite last minute for me too.

Skypacker, there is already a thread for Pentax photos where pentaxians can showcase their good shots day and night....Fengwei has requested we put our shots there.

Here is more of a what-not-to-do and what-you-should-have-done thread. Will appreciate those who can share their favourite tips too!

Yes. There is a thread on this already....thinking of getting this over the Tamron.
The Tamron can be bought in a few days but for the Pentax , may have to wait a few weeks...
