Waiting to see what will be announced. Waiting for the SLR version rather than the compact version.

@ricohflex, this is a Pentax thread and we are talking about the new film cameras that Ricoh will be announcing in the coming months.

Now the Pentax film project is finalised. It's going to be a half frame compact camera, meaning it will have 72 photos on a 36 exposure film cartridge. The viewfinder will show a vertical or portrait format much like a smartphone. Pentax designed for the young generation that want to experience what analogue film is like but it will have an electronic shutter and is capable of point and shoot experience. It is a fixed focus lens from the espio mini with zone focusing.

To give an authentic film camera experience it also has a manual film winding lever and rewinding knob just like film camera of yesteryear. Most likely camera may be ready for sale during summer 2024. Moto arigato!

Looks like there will be a competitor to Pentax half frame film camera. It is made by Mint based on the Rollei 35AF and it's fullframe. So film shooters have another choice to make.
