Hi,

Is it possible to download the videos I take directly from camcorder to a portable hard disk?

I took a look at the manual and there does not appear to be any mention of this.

I am not sure on those HDD camcorder. But i suppose you need a software to transfer as a portable HDD is just that.

I transfer my MiniDV tape to my PC first then transfer it to my portable HDD as backup. With a copy in my PC I will play and edit it. Hope above answer your question.
