Overcoming 2.88X crop factor in BMPCC

For BMPCC shooters, getting shallow DOF may be difficult because of the need to use shorter focal lengths to get the same FOV as fullframe cameras.
With a crop factor of 2.88X magnification, a videographer is forced to use 17.5mm to get a 50mm FOV on the BMPCC. This correspondingly increases the depth of focus resulting less of a bokeh effect.
Metabones has alleviated this problem with their new speedbooster for BMPCC. With the new Nikon G mount adapter speedbooster for BMPCC, the crop factor has been dramatically reduced from 2.88x to a better than MFT 1.75x!
More amazingly , the fstop is boosted by one and two-thirds stop with a maximum resultant aperture of f0.74!
For BMPCC shooters, this piece of gear is an absolute essential that should be hard soldered on to the camera body:

For filmmakers looking for a film look camera , the BMPCC becomes even more attractive, especially with the new canon battery adapter from switronix
