Just curious, I have seen adverts of Canon EOS 3000V. But its amazing that no one is talking about it here.

I wonder why??

maybe just that it is too new and no one know the RP of this camera...

Singapore price?

Yes. Its $498 w/o date with 28-90mm lens. Mistake just now.

I see... the advert is $498 for the camera with kit lens 28-105mm.

By the way, out of the still in production models, namely EOS 66, EOS 300v and EOS 300. What is the difference between those?

Which of these should I choose if I were to get a film SLR?

Please dun recommend me 2nd hand bodies, I have had more experience (not related to camera though) dealing with unpleasant and irresponsible traders to avoid trying 2nd hand. (UNLESS, the seller is reputable :) )

I recommend TCW - The Camera Workshop. I have bought stuff from them before (lens mainly) and they have sold pretty good stuff. They are also very friendly and dish out lots of good advice, IMO.

heard alot of ppl talking about that shop wonder where izit.... :dunno:

The shop is actually located at Peninsular Shopping Centre. Which is different from Peninsular Plaza (Where Cathay Photo is). Peninsular Shopping Centre is the shopping arcade located inside Hotel Excelsior. U can find TCW and Ruby in there. TCW for 2nd hand stuff - they have an excellent range, especially Canon and Nikon stuff. Go to Ruby for speciality films and filters and other really pro stuff...

Please beware not to go to ishida marketing just next to the escalators on the ground level.. they're a black listed camera shop which is known to have devious means of cheating customers... I must admit I was once bitten now twice shy :)

mpenza do you have any idea where this lens can be bought at $220?

dunno. I didn't see this lens when I bought the Sigma equivalent.

paise.. bought at this corner shop opposite macdonald in lucky plaza..

frankly the lens alone is ok.. will post pictures later.

however, when i add on the 2x vivitar tc the pic quality n sharpness sucks..
