Panorama crop inspired by another Clubsnapper :)
Constructive criticism more than welcome.

Very nice. Personally, I think you should exclude the last shot in this series. The first 2 are very good.

Thanks folks! Yup this was laid out to resemble chinese paintings. :)
Falcon, agree with you fully...3rd pix is the weaker of this series. But I slot it in nevertheless coz I took the pix with the chinese painting theme in mind...so I'll just leave it here as a reminder to myself to try harder next time. :D

The first two are really good, lovely composition and nice BG, I like the use of the panoramic format which makes the pic stands out more. As nicholaslee commented, looks like chinese painting. Well done. Do post more. :)

WOW!!
Truly artistic.
When I need chinese new year greeting cards I know who to look for. :bsmilie:

The second one is great. The third one is let down by the yellow flower at the top left corner.

Good theme and creative. Hope to see more of it.

Thanks all! Mpenza, interesting how you felt the extra blooms marred the pictures. To me, the 3rd pix wasn't ideal coz there were not enough blooms! Hehe! I was trying to create those chinese cheongsam floral pattern....big peony blooms....tho of course this contradicts the classic definition of what makes a good macro pic - clean, uncluttered bkgrd. ;)

Hi! I am new and I like the 2nd pix best. I like the mood that the colours create. V warm.
And I like your style. V innovative and creative. You have actually created Chinese paintings without a brush! BRAVO!

lovely...very lovely...hmm...you gave me an idea. thks and seriously...it's very lovely

your last pict is a little to much to the right...i think, that's the only prob. :D

hi

I prefer picture 1 than 2. Not confortable with picture 2 as all the lines cross one another, the plus point here is the more vibrant colours. Picture 1 is more plain... but
how about converting the whole or just the background, to black and white in photoshop, then the butterfly might stand out more interestingly. just some thoughts... 8).

regards.

Thanks Cloud9 ;), and welcome to the club! (your first post!)
And thanks too SimonSng, Khairi and Matt for your comments. Will try out the suggestions and keep in mind what to avoid, tho itz quite unlikely I will desaturate the bkgrd to bring out the butterfly...too much work, me lazy! :D
